The rEDdOG Blog
As you may know we have a bit of a thing for flashlights in team rEDdOG (especially Markus), this has resulted in a few new purchases from www.dealextreme.com recently. I already talked about the MTE SF-23 in this blogentry but I will talk some more about it later on. The latest purchases started with Maria wanting to have a similar flashlight to my MTE SF-23 but smaller and if possible with a wider light pattern as in geocaching a floodier light is usually preferred. After extensive searching on dealextreme I came up with this lamp as a candidate. It is the MTE SSC P7 flashlight which is slightly shorter and a bit narrower than the SF-23 and with this comes a floodier light pattern. In the process of searching for this lamp I stumbled across this headlamp which is very similar to the LedLenser H7 and it is called "Flood-to-Throw Zooming Focusable Cree Q3-WC 130-Lumen LED Headlamp" (nifty name eh?) anyway an order was quickly placed and the wait for delivery began. During the wait I found another lamp that I found interesting and that is an X2000 Flood-to-Throw Zooming Flashlight that was promptly ordered as well. The reason for choosing the X2000 over other flashlights in the same category was that it uses the same kind of LiIon batteries as the other lights. Below there are a few pictures of the lights.

We're a family with a new found interest in geocaching. We started hunting for caches in September 2009 and now we just can't stop!
