When you're out geocaching there is one thing you should do: check if there are parking coordinates - because they would probably take you to a place where you can actually park
This weekend we didn't, and things got very interesting!
This Saturday we went to my old home town Sala to:
1. Find some caches
2. Eat dinner with my family (mother, sisters, brother etc)
Although it was raining we had quite fun, finding caches in a rather quick way (we really had our gecaching eyes on, because it felt really easy to find them for a change
). Perhaps this made us a bit overly self confident - or at least a bit to happily trusting our GPS. This lovely little machine sent us on a road that was a bit to small, a bit to old and a bit to slippery wet. What happened? We got stuck in the mud - and thoroughly so!
Luckily we were in Sala, and after a quick phone call we had acquired the help of my family, a tiny tractor and a couple of showels. The kids were sent home to my mom - where the two oldest happily settled down playing and the youngest started crying for his mother (for two hours) whilst we tried to dig ourselves out. This part of our geocaching adventure didn't really go quick though - it took us about 2,5 hours to get out of the forest. And we didn't even log the *bliiiip* cache!

We actually did make it to the restaurant for some food, but we had to postpone the booking slightly
and some of our clothes were not completely clean
Thank you family S for:
- Helping with the kids
- Helping with the pushing, digging, jiggeling of our "tiny" car
- Lending me clothes to wear at the restaurant
(LOVE YOU!!)
And, you know, we did go back to Sala on Sunday too - we couldn't let "the muddy experience" end our caching adventure in Sala. But we didn't go in to any more tiny roads leading to nowhere. The cache we were after when we got stuck however hasn't been logged yet - we're saving it for another day
