What have we done, and where have we been?

It is nearly two and a half months since we started geocaching and so far we have only been searching for caches kind of close to home: Kolbäck, Hallstahammar, Västerås, Eskilstuna; and close to Markus current office in Örebro.

Within a 30 km radius from our home we can currently find 442 caches, which is kind of a good starting point. We live close to several larger cities - and where there are people, there are caches ;)

We started out with a goal: "if we can find 200 caches this year, we've done good". And yes - 200 caches plus some more ;)

Hallstahammar

In Hallstahammar we went on a real treasure hunt in the middle of a roundabout, which was not an easy task. To get close to the cache we tried the "weird person taking pictures of flowers"-trick - and that worked. In Hallstahammar there is also a place called Skanzö - perfect for family adventures

Västerås

In Västerås there are so many nice caches, and on a beautiful autumn day we went to Djäkneberget in Västerås and took these pictures whilst searching for caches

The harbour in Västerås is also well worth a visit

Strömsholms Kanal

Strömsholms Kanal is a beautiful canal close to home. And it's also a series of caches that will take you to really nice places by the canal
